My Buddy Clark

These are my treasurers kept apart

cradled in velvet in my heart.

Summers of riding the Triumph in the breeze,

the good times, your "Macho" ways, and your laughter too.

And as you know, our favorite thing to do

was tease you till you almost turned blue!

The tender times, the drunk times, the heartaches, too

and all the BITCHING you made me do!

All etched in ageless time to be.....

My cameos of memory.

All those hours we spent working together,

sharing and comparing our dreams and goals.

Us, watching our close friendship

and our HooDoo Chapter grow.

Hours of confiding on the phone,

sharing laughter and our precious pains.

You were always there for me in time of need.

Now your my angel watching over me.....

My cameos of memory.

These are my wealth, my warmth, my light.

Thoughts of you riding through my life.

I'll truly miss your handsome face and ways.

Confidence and strength to me you gave

With finger tips of heart and mind,

I'll trace your friendship there defined.

These treasures none can take from me....

My cameos of memory.

"Big John" Smithson

A prominent and profoundly well-liked businessman John Smithson had lived in this

area for several decades, was an instructor for North Idaho College, owned Smithson Towing Company, was an avid motorcyclist and was a peripatetic volunteer for

practically everything. To many in this area, young and old alike, "Big John" was

simply known as... Santa Claus.
